Meet the talented individuals who make up our Triple T Board.
With a diverse range of skills and expertise, we work together to deliver exceptional results for Triple T.
Toni McGregor
Chair
Born and bred North Queenslander, Toni has a background with the Dept of Justice and is currently employed with Qld Human Rights Commission as Assistant Human Rights Officer, a role which takes her to many locations around North Queensland, training organisations in discrimination law. Toni has served as the Triple t Chair from 2023 - 2024 and 2024 - 2025.
A volunteer Triple T presenter since mid 2018, Toni is coordinator for the Sundown program.
Brian Smith
Vice Chair
Brian has a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and a Diploma in Personal Management. He has served 30 years in the military, 13 years with the EPA and subsequently with Queensland Health. Brian became a Director in 2008 and Chairman in 2010.
Brian developed the Internal Values, Code of Conduct and Grievance Policies for the Station.
Jean Stone
Treasurer
20 years specialised in not-for-profit organisations experience led her to offer consultancy services at a rate affordable by not-for-profits. Subsequently, in 2006, Jean purchased a Jim’s Bookkeeping franchise and in October 2022 Jean branched out on her own offering a full range of bookkeeping accounting and taxation services.
Erin Menkens
Director
Erin has a secretarial background from both the private and govt sectors. She worked for the Public Trustee for 10 years, and has provided support for clients with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Erin has been a volunteer Presenter with Triple T since 2010 and has been a part of the management team since mid 2017.
Darryl Pitt
Director
Darryl Pitt joined Triple T in 1987 as a volunteer member and presenter of country music programmes. He has served as a Director on the Board for many years, and as Chairman on three occasions - (1994-1995) (1997-1999) (2019-2023).
His wisdom and steady hand have guided Management over the past few years. Darryl has, and still does, mentor new presenters.
Throughout the years Darryl has been President of the Townsville and Thuringowa Country Music Association several times. During the last twenty plus years, Darryl, his family and friends have, as a group of musicians, entertained at most of the Nursing Homes throughout the region, going as far as Collinsville, and up to Cardwell.
Mark Hegarity
Director
Mark has over 30 years of IT experience, and currently works with a software company developing pharmacy solutions for hospitals. With a professional background that includes financial roles as a Treasurer and Finance Manager of various clubs and District Finance Manager within Toastmasters International.
Leadership experience as a past Chairman of Townsville Community Broadcasting, and extensive experience as a presenter and coordinator across diverse programming areas at Triple T. Mark is passionate about music, both presenting and performing, and enjoys helping others grow.
Kay Palamountain
Director
Kay’s working life began in the Banking Industry. She also worked occasionally for a Chartered Accountant doing Auditing. Kay left Banking to work at a Racecourse where she performed various roles - TAB Operator & Manager, Keno Operator & Supervisor, Duty Manager & Hospitality.
Next move was to a Sport Betting Company, working Admin during the week, and as a Licenced Bookmaker on the weekends.
Kay had a complete change and joined the N.T. Police Force, before moving to Townsville in 2014.
In 2018 she joined Triple T as a volunteer Presenter and was elected to the Board in 2022.
Kay is currently an Assistant Training Coordinator, and Program Mentor, with Triple T.
Victoria Nelson
Director
Born in Townsville, Victoria lived in Melbourne and Sydney areas as a young child, returning to Townsville at the age of 12.
Starting work at 15 years of age, Victoria’s main jobs have been kitchen and community care work in hospitals and aged care homes, and personal aged care.
Victoria worked whilst raising 4 children with her wonderful husband / dad by her side. As grandparents now, they are still enjoying life with a strong participation in helping our society, friends and family, with time out for themselves.
Jordana Taylor
Director
Born in Tully , Jo attended James Cook University and the University of Queensland to qualify as a Secondary School Teacher in the 70s . With 4 University degrees and diplomas, Jo started her career in teaching. Today, currently working for the Good Guys Townsville.
For 13 years , Jo worked as an Ambassador at City Hall Brisbane on the Lady Mayoress’s Committee raising millions for the Community. Jo's four daughters attended Brisbane Girls Grammar and Jo was the President of the Mothers Committee and sat on the Board. Currently a presenter at Triple T and would like to see our Community Radio Station continue to offer the support and enjoyment we have always provided to our valued listeners, Sponsors and Supporters here in the Townsville Community.
